La organización es clasificada como una sin fines de lucro que tiene como objetivo:<br /><br />•Protección, conservación, restauración, y manejo del patrimonio natural y cultural de la región sureste de Puerto Rico (Municipios de Yabucoa, Maunabo, Patillas, Arroyo). Fomentar el desarrollo sostenible comunitario con base cooperativista.<br /><br />•Fomentar la investigación multidisciplinaria en la región sureste de Puerto Rico enfocando: la conservación, protección, restoracion y manejo de los recursos naturales y culturales de al región.<br /><br />•Promover y auspiciar actividades educativas y culturales comunitarias Incluyendo: inmersión cultural y lingüística, herencia taina, festivales comunitarios, talleres ambientales, talleres cooperativistas, y talleres de concienciación sobre diferentes tipos de adicción.<br /><br />•Promover desarrollo socioeconómico vía cooperativismo comunitario y desarrollo sostenible.<br /><br />•Fomentar el desarrollo de la agricultura orgánica y turismo ecológico como modelo de progreso socioeconómico. <br /><br /><br /><strong>What is Guakia Taina-ke?</strong><br /><br />Guakia Taína-Ké is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization committed to the following:<br /><br />•The protection, conservation and restoration of the natural and cultural heritage of southeast Puerto Rico (Municipalities of Yabucoa, Maunabo, Patillas, Arroyo). <br /><br />•Promote community sustainable development with a coop base.<br /><br />•Promote multidisciplinary investigation in the southeast region of Puerto Rico; focusing on the conservation, protection, restoration and management of the regions’ natural and cultural resources.<br /><br />•Promote and sponsor community educational and cultural programs and activities, including: cultural and linguistic immersion program, Taino heritage workshops, community festivals, environmental workshops, coop workshops, and addiction awareness workshops. <br /><br />•Promote socioeconomic development through sustainable development and cooperative programs.<br /><br />•Assisting communities in achieving sustainable development and self-sufficiency through organic agricultural production, eco-tourism, and cultural tourism.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/22163841-113944410002837169?l=quetainake.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Liga Guakia Taina-Ke, Inchttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03012411654459582726noreply@blogger.com7
